I know there is this misconception that pageant girls only know about Matte Lipstick, the latest Sherry Hill gown, and Chinese Laundry Tip Tops. Okay, not true. Yes, some of us may spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a pageant and everything that goes along with it, but there are some of us who are fiscally conservative when it comes to the pageant experience. I am one of those fiscally conservative pageant girls. I consider myself a frugal pageant girl who shops clearance racks and finds hidden treasures on The Glass Slipper Pageant Resale Shop. I refuse to spend all of my money on a hobby or an experience. I also refuse to go into debt over a hobby or an experience. It is not that serious in my opinion. If you want to experience a pageant, save up and pay cash for it. Yes, I said cash. I know that sounds like a foreign term in the land of Visa, MasterCard, and American Express; however, Cash is still King.
I know this is a mindset that is uncomfortable for many to adopt, but that is okay. I am here to help you with the mental shift. I recently published a book entitled, Kingdom Finances: 40 Financial Principles That Empower You To Properly Manage Money. This book is packed with money principles that touch on subjects such as debt, saving, and giving. As you read these principles, you will begin to see money in a different light, and it will empower you to manage money in a better way.
I bet you are wondering what makes this pageant girl an authority on personal finances? I am glad you asked. Check out my credentials.
