The Life of a Queenpreneur is an interview series that showcases young women who balance the role of a queen and the role of an entrepreneur. A queenpreneur is unique because she possesses a graceful style mixed with a hustler’s ambition. This interview will feature Charlene Rhinehart, Owner of Career Goddess Academy.
Tell Us About Yourself.
I’m Charlene Rhinehart – Certified Public Accountant, International Speaker, Published Writer, & Success Coach. After becoming the first CPA to win the title of Ms. Corporate America, I left my dream job to pursue my dream life. I danced around the world, became a best-selling author, and created platforms that would inspire others to pursue their boldest dreams. My work has been featured in several media outlets including The Huffington Post, Black Enterprise, Women on Business, Ms. Career Girl, Essence, Toastmasters International, and many more.
What is Career Goddess Academy, and what inspired you to create this brand?
Career Goddess Academy is a platform designed to help women create career success and a lifestyle they love. I want more women to realize that they can use their gifts to create endless opportunities instead of allowing fears and doubts to delay the manifestation of their dreams.
Through Career Goddess Academy, I decided to go behind the scenes of various jobs and blog about the experience so that others can know the different options that exist and be inspired to create their own definition of success. I explored over 50 job opportunities including becoming a voiceover artist, fitness instructor, and working with my favorite actors on the set of EMPIRE. As a success coach, I help people with their profile (Resume, LinkedIn, Bio) in order to attract opportunities that align with the core of who they are.
What made you want to become an entrepreneur?
I wanted the flexibility and freedom to live life on my own terms and focus on what matters most to me. I also didn’t want anyone else to determine my destiny. I wanted to be the “CEO of My Life”. In my world, CEO stands for Creating Endless Opportunities and that became the foundation for the company I created and how I lived my life.
How has Career Goddess Academy Changed Your Life?
Career Goddess Academy evolved into the reflection of a quote I created when I was competing in the Ms. Corporate America pageant.
“Be bold in your purpose, choose faith over fear, and live a life that you can fall in love with over and over again. When your mission is greater than you, your drive will be unstoppable.”
For many of us, there is another side of us that is waiting to be released. By working to help others overcome their career fears and challenges, I unconsciously gave myself permission to release the Queen within me. What that truly means is giving up the need to be validated by others with every decision I made and learning how to trust my inner compass and faith to guide me on my journey.
Did competing in pageants prepare you for running a business. If so, how?
Yes, I don’t think I would have had the courage to start a business as soon as I did if I wouldn’t have gone through the process of competing in a pageant. I gained valuable skills in branding, sales, media, and writing – all skills that I use to create endless opportunities in my business endeavors.
What are some of your other business adventures?
I offer coaching services at Career Goddess Academy and Wealthy Women Daily. I have used my platforms to create “Profit from Pageantry” where I deliver webinars and visual content to show others how to increase their income and impact by leveraging their gifts.
I am also the author of “Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend” – a female-friendly investing book that shows women how to start earning income from their investments.
What are some of your entrepreneurial goals?
Jim Rohn once said that “you want to have a vision that’s big enough that in the process of achieving that goal, you become someone worth becoming”.
As a speaker, writer, and coach, I am excited to share a collection of books that empower millions of people all over the world. I also want to continue developing coaching programs, virtual summits, courses, and resources that continue to motivate people to create endless opportunities. I constantly visualize myself as a guest speaker and emcee at pageants while delivering Profit from Pageantry workshops all over the world.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My ten-year plan includes me building a collection of assets that fund my lifestyle and allow me to allocate more money towards things that allow me to give back in a meaningful way. The vision that energizes me the most is seeing myself spreading happiness and harmony through media platforms with my loving husband and amazing family.
What is one piece of advice you would give to female entrepreneurs?
Courage gets you in the game, commitment keeps you in the game, and consistency will allow you to win the game.
