Endometriosis is a disease that affects 6.3 women and girls across the United States, and 176 million worldwide. The disease creates a severe amount of pain during a female’s menstrual cycle, and it is one of the leading causes of infertility. Some of the symptoms include painful periods, abdominal pain, fatigue, and pain during sexual intercourse.
March is National Endometriosis Awareness Month, and several cities across the country are hosting events to raise awareness of this debilitating disease. On Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Chastain Memorial Park, #TeamATLANTA will be hosting an Endometriosis Worldwide March. As an endometriosis survivor and advocate, I am very excited about this event. I cannot wait to rock my ENDO t-shirt and yellow tutu. If you are not busy, come out and help us raise awareness. Pageant queens this an awesome event for your to make a community service appearance.
