“You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” – Charlie “Tremendous” Jones
I am reader. I started reading at the age of 5, and I am still a reader at the age of 33. I was that girl who read a book during my brother’s baseball game, and I even got away with reading a book in the choir stand during a church service. Yes, I will read any and everywhere because reading is important to me.
I never knew my love for reading would eventually birth a love and a skill for writing. This skill has allowed me to support and empower the pageantry industry in beautiful way by writing blog posts and writing books. I am grateful for this opportunity because I now can share my thoughts with a new generation of readers. My first book Manifest the Crown: A Krystle Clear Guide to Pageantry Success has garnered much success for me in the industry.
This year, I have been invited to serve as a workshop speaker at the Atlanta African American Book Festival. According to the website, “The Atlanta African American Book Festival is a yearly festival held in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is a great opportunity for community members to meet and engage with their favorite African American authors. The purpose of the Atlanta African American Book Festival is to educate, entertain, and impact the Atlanta community through African American literature.”
This festival will also showcase African American authors from around the world.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (EST) on the campus of Georgia State University.
I would love for my audience to come out and support this event. I hope to see you there!
