I bet you are reading the title of this post and thinking, “What does that mean?” Well, I tried to be creative and turn my name and age into a format that is similar to a book, chapter, and verse chapter in the Bible. Yes, I know I am doing too much, but I like to think outside of the box. If you have not figured it out already, TODAY is my 33rd birthday, and it is day 1 of this journey.
Am I excited about being 33? I excited about life and having another day to accomplish my goals and live out my God given purpose. I normally celebrate the entire month of January, but after getting married recently and moving to a new city, I did not have the energy to plan a month long celebration. As I was contemplating on what I wanted to write for this post, I decided to do my research on the Biblical numerology and meaning of 33. I must say I was pleasantly surprised on what I discovered.
According to The Bible Study Site, “The number 33 is connected to a promise or the promises of God. The 33rd time Noah’s name is used in Scripture is when God makes a special covenant or promise with him. The Eternal promises to not destroy the entire world again with a flood and seals His pledge with the sign of the rainbow (Genesis 9:12 – 16). The 33rd time Abraham’s name is used in the Bible is when Isaac, the child of promise, is born to him when he is ninety-nine years old (Genesis 21:1 – 2).”
After reading this, I knew the key word was PROMISE. I was reassured that everything that God has promised me will come to pass if I remain patient, prayerful, and faithful. Everything I have been praying for and working towards will be manifested in due season. As I celebrate turning 33, I know this birthday gives me yet another opportunity to empower a woman or girl for success, support a nonprofit organization, write another book (Books by Krystle), and launch a t-shirt brand. I am grateful I still have breath in my body to be purposeful.
My dear 33: I greet you with open arms, and I stand on the promises of God.
SN: Even though I did not plan a month long celebration, I wanted to do something new so I decided to host a birthday fundraiser supporting a nonprofit organization that is near and dear to my heart. I am raising money for #HappyPeriod which is a social movement of girlfriends providing menstrual hygiene kits to low income, homeless, and poverty stricken individuals. You can make a donation to this cause by visiting Krystle’s Birthday Fundraiser for We Are #HappyPeriod. The fundraiser will be live from now until February 4, 2018. Please help me reach my goal of $200.00. I appreciate any assistance. Love ya!
