What does it take to win a crown? A $5,000 designer gown? Flawless hair and make up? A stunning walk? In my experience, I have come to realize that manifesting a crown is about 80% mental and 20% technique. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Why I am quoting this scripture? I quoting this scripture because I believe the crown must first be conceived in the mind before a physical crown can be bestowed upon your head. Every day and every night visualize yourself as the winner, and you will be able think and feel like a winner. Still not convinced? Here are some tips to developing a winning mindset.
- Say and write down affirmations . I am fearfully and wonderfully made is one of my favorite scriptures, and I use it as my affirmation as well. I am created in the likeness and image of God so other people’s opinion of me have no merit.
- Examine your social circle and stay away from negative people. If you are trying to manifest a crown, you do not need negative, toxic people speaking into your life. They will only hinder your growth and development.
- Read books on positive thinking. You have to feed your mind with sound teaching. One of my favorite books is The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn.
- Consciously examine your thoughts and cast down any negative thoughts that try to creep into your mental space. You have put in too much work to have it all destroyed with one or more bad thoughts.
I know changing your mindset is no simple task, and it will not happen over night. Believe me, it took me years to develop the winning mindset I have today. In my Iyanala Vanzant voice, “You have to do the work.” Change will not come from just sitting around waiting for things to manifest into thin air. The question is are you willing to put in the work to develop a winning mindset and manifest the crown?
