What would a pageant be without a pageant director? Pageant directors are instrumental to the pageantry industry because they make sure contestants have an enjoyable competition experience. They serve as event planners, graphic designers, editors, web designers, DIY queens, mothers, and the list goes on and on. In celebration of Black History Month, I want to highlight 4 black pageant directors who I believe will make a huge impact in 2019.
1. Kerrie Juliana, America’s Elite Miss
Kerrie Juliana is the premier innovative pageant professional. She has a proven track record of directing pageants in the Southeast for the past several years. She has directed both the Miss Wiregrass and Miss Tri-State pageant programs. America’s Elite Miss crowned their 2019 Elite 8 queens last month, and the 2020 pageant will occur on November 22-25, 2019 in Columbus, Georgia.
